Middle of Nowhere, Oklahoma

Stuck out in the Middle of Nowhere...

Looking around at not much...without a care.

The fields are taking a beating from the breeze...

I have to look for miles and miles...for any trees.

Silence is the sound...that the wind brings to my face...

The horizon goes on and on the same...then out towards Outer Space.

I got here...though I don't know why...

I could die here...and not even try.

The Middle of Nowhere...A Place Far Away...

I'll try not to overextend my welcome here...Or my stay.

Somewhere is not here...Here is somebody else's Somewhere...

How did I end up here...When I was trying to get to another there ?

Found myself...in a place...that I never dreamed...and I was scared...

I traveled to the Middle of Nowhere...and lived there...'Cause I dared !

Believe me...It takes strength...to be far from all you've known...

Believe you me...it ain't easy...at this new place I called home.

I looked and saw further then I could imagine...

I have come further now than I have ever been.

But look...to distant fields of a slightly miscalculated trip...

And realized...to myself...that I shouldn't keep shootin' from my hip.

If you seek...What isn't out there...

Or...if you happen to go further out...then you dare...

You may search and search for meaning...just because somehow you care...

Then you may discover to your own horror that you're all alone...Somewhere...

Alone without a care...Stuck in a place...Somewhere...in the Middle of Nowhere.
