Midnight Desolation

by Jean Mishra

Desolation tumbles down a midnight road

Scraping, searing alley walls

Marks like howling trails of tears

While unsuspecting slumbering drones and bones

Cascade through evanescent halls

Dreams steaming, searching seeking always peeking

Through mysterious portal keyholes plunging

Destiny never known

There is a nice "lost" feeling that comes across in this poem. I LOVE your photo. Great job!

Deborah, Audrey, grace and tammy thank you so much to all 4 of you for reading and leaving your generous comments. A new voice came out of me with this one and I was hoping the stream-of-conscious mosaic style would make sense to someone else as it did to me. Thanks again!
