Mirror: A Poem

Source

Mirror

I've seen

Tender affections sweet as perfume;

Belated beauty in full-blossomed bloom;

Fresh, new love without ripple or seam,

Burning and brilliant as a hot laser beam.

I've seen

Cold silence when the love has died;

Beauty replaced by scorn and pride;

Broken promises and gnawing despair;

Shattered dreams beyond repair.

Dear Kate ~ I have hardly even done this, but I gave you TWO RATINGS - awesome and beautiful. So well written, rhymes and sentiment both in sync. Love, Debby P.S. because this was 'extra special' I tweeted to my enormous following.
