Missing the Miracle

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

A yearning morning tendril,

a crystal dewdrop perched upon a leaf,

crisp and glistening blades of grass,

poised for the struggle of growth,

endow life with meaning,

expressing love in infinite reflection.

The tender hand of nature

infuses life with loving care,

and we with all we have,

ignore the beauty of life’s course,

the core of what we are.

Each diamond studded web

in morning frost,

written in words elegant,

never read, never acknowledged.

Each breeze the whisper of truth,

the cleansing touch of serenity,

calming, ever washing away our doubts,

in stillness the answers alive with intent.

Each moment a feast of sensation,

a million thoughts combined,

in hushed dreams and possibilities,

imploring an open heart.

Each life a miracle,

a potential of expression and experience,

a gift of blissful joy and harmony,

within each cell,

every part of being.

What seems missing in life is us,

being a part of it,

recognizing the miracle,

that abounds in a multitude,

within our hearts.
