James Patterson , one of the most prolific writers know to man, has some books to be included in a series and some that stand alone. The following list is the various series that he has written with a brief description.

Alex Cross

This is probably his most famous series. The hero of this series works for the Washington, D.C. Police Department as a special consultant for the Major Case Squad. He is a single parent with lives with his grandmother, Nana Mama, and his children Ali, and Jannine. His love interest , Detective Brianna Stone, who also works for the Washington, D. C. Police Department also lives with them.

Michael Bennett

Michael Bennett is a police officer who can solve cases that others can not.

Women's Murder Club

This series became a TV series for a period of time. The main characters are all women and all close friends. They get together and solve hard to sole crimes

Maximum Ride

This is a series for the young reader.

Daniel X

Daniel X has secret powers that he uses to help solve crimes.
