More Thoughts On The Failings Of Mankind.

 

Evidence leaked

 

The scarlet

errant 
blood drop

that had escaped

from the plastic tarp,
hung suspended,
between

ceiling cracks.

 

He thought he had

hid her well

under the

upstairs floorboard

but fate intervened,

 

His eyes

rolled upward

as his sweat

cascaded downward

dampening all hopes

of not being caught.

 

Within seconds
the gravity of
the situation
struck hard
on the

investigating
officers face.

Lost In The Nothingness.

 

In the vicious snowstorm,
blinded by whiteouts

I stumble,across

acres of farmland.
In the wrong direction,
fingers numb,

toes already gone,
head weary I need

to lie down and just sleep.

I look up to God

and ask forgiveness
for my failure to go on,

but when I look down,
his angel is already there,

white face with golden mane 

looming in front of me,
so I grab her neck gently,

mount her, and she

Bloodshot orbs,

nervously twitch,
as the match flares,

spotlighting pinpointed

pupils that dilate
as stress dissappears

in a blue cloud.

Browned saddlebags

hang beneath
her bottom lashes

as the monkey
riding her back
