Mothers are Heroes, Too! (a poem and lyrical presentation of greatest inspiration)
My mother, always will be my hero, my friend, to thank you, just where do I begin,
You carried me, inside, precious life, there to abide, your love, to me, did send.
Refrain:
Our mothers can be heroes, too, in everything that they say, and the things they do,
You were there for me, your love unconditional, was free, and this I always knew.
You sacrificed... worked hard, over the years, calming my worries, and my fears,
Showed me the way, every night and day, through the laughter and the tears.
refrain:
Our mothers can be heroes, too, in everything that they say, the things they do,
You were there for me, your love, unconditional, was free, and this I always knew.
You gave me sweet sisters, mine to share, you taught us the true meaning... to care,
You raised us kids to be fair, and for our well being you suffered, those hard times to bare.
refrain:
Yes, our mothers can be heroes, too, in everything that they say, the things they do,
You were there for me, your love, unconditional, was free, and this I always knew.
Over the years, your bravest spirit, you did show, the courage that helped us all to grow,
Our own hearts made strong, withstood the storms, to carry on, your strength to bestow.
Refrain:
Yes, our mothers can be heroes, too, in everything that they say and the things they do,
You were there for me, your love, unconditional, was free, and this, I always knew.
You taught me of the beauty and to care, in this world, all to be so rare, and still finding time for daily prayer.
Every day you lived as an inspiration, a model of all determination, and this is our own success, to declare.
refrain:
Yes, our mothers can be heroes, too, in everything that they say and the things they do,
You were there for me, your love, unconditional, was free, and this I always knew.
Yes, mothers can be heroes, too.
