He was very proud of his big moustache,
John Robert was his name,
He didn’t like men who were without
Bluntly told them ‘It’s a shame!’
‘You are a man, you need to look tough,
Not like ladies- soft and cool!
Start to grow moustache right from today,
Be smart, don’t be a fool’.
Friends laughed, some said they would,
Some were skeptical, said they would try.
John understood, believed what they said,
Knew they wouldn’t tell him a lie.
Those friends who couldn’t take
a concrete decision on the spot,
At home they received encouragement
‘ Grow moustache – why not?’
A few months later the friends had a meeting,
John was so surprised to see,
All the friends were growing moustache,
He wondered how could this be!
He measured the sizes of their moustache,
closely examined thickness and growth.
Said ‘ You must comb and keep them tidy,
make them look shiny henceforth.’
They listened to what John said,
touched his moustache and praised.
As requested, John made his moustache dance
without touching he lowered it and raised.
Friends laughed , they asked excitedly
‘Wow, how could you do that so fast?’
John laughed and said ‘ I shall teach you later,
you will practice at home- that’s a must’.
John was a good boxer, a Judo trainer
and a very likeable person in the town,
Everyone adhered to his advice with free, open mind,
There was no one at all to frown.
All the men of the entire town,
whether they were young or old,
Started to grow big moustache
that made them feel confident and bold!
Many of those who smoked, gave up smoking
as moustache could catch fire,
Cigarettes slowly disappeared from shops
with there being hardly a buyer!
People took physical exercise every single day
to build muscles and strength,
Its importance was explained by John,
in his lecture in the club, at length.
Everyone slept peacefully at night,
there was absolutely no fear.
Big moustache and muscles frightened the thieves,
Even decoits steered clear!
The Police were so friendly, had leisurely hours,
They found their duty a fun!
There was no crime of any kind whatsoever,
They didn’t need even a gun!
Moustache brought all the unity and peace
and all for John, the Hero!
John smiled , holding his moustache ends,
Modestly said ‘ I am only a Zero.
It is the will of people that surely helped
to bring this nice change.
Yes, moustache has helped to get us united
though it may sound funny and strange!’
Years have passed John is in his eighties
Age is no matter to him.
He walks fast, he runs, he still has his big moustache,
With his friends he goes to the Gym.
If any man wishing to make a move in this town,
will soon settle down well within days.
But mind you, if he intends not to have moustache at all,
he will feel out of place.

I watch a pretty lady every morning, wonder where she goes and stays. Would like her to fall in love with me but cannot ask her as I fear she may not let me watch her again and make my sundays empty !
I have intended to bring some fun in this poem. What I am basicvally trying to convey is that we should sing, laugh and dance to keep ourselves fit and well and enjoy our life to the best we can.
It was night, I thought of writing a poem, comfortably sat on a chair, Be it a love poem, a poem of fun or sorrow - I didn't really care. Many themes had entered my head, It would be so easy to write! ...
