Music Move Pain - Haiku to My Father

Music - Stairway to a memory
Music - Stairway to a memory

Music Moving Pain

iPod earplugs sounds

Familiar song tugs heart

Salt tears taste on lip

Another time – place

Strong face, warm smile, sweet blue eyes

Father’s voice rises

Sweet tune trembles out

Manly timbre words heartfelt

Sing out his wonder

Sense of home and Dad

Sweet Old Spice fragrance lingers

Music memory

Memories mixed with deep love, a reminiscent scent and music, very special sounds - your words create a sense of a caring, warm and very loving bond. Just beautiful, sacred and very special haiku. Thank you for sharing.

Unfortunately my Dad died in 1988 and never knew anything about iPods or the new technology I use on a daily basis...he loved music and TV movies

I'm lucky enough because I'm living in a high- tech world. However, I want to experience a life way back around the 50's or even 90's. I want to explore in a simple yet comfortable world- not so much on the floods and pollution, etc. Others tell me that life way back in the classic times was very difficult- with all the discrimination and ignorance of the people about their fellows. And I answered to them," I just wanted to experience that kind of life and it's not part of my plan to stay there forever! In short, I just wanted to have a short vacation:)

Some memories are etched on our minds... I remember my dad and his TV with the antennae on top.. and him trying to adjust them to catch the right signal...whereas nowadays I just flip buttons to change channels on my LED!

Your haikus are intense, beautifully crafted, perfect on the technical and abstract front...

Though lucky to be active in the hi-tech generation of mankind... I certainly wish to lead the life of an adult as our dads did in the era of peace... when not every body ran the rat race

Thank you for the beautiful haikus!

I love this poem for its touch of sensations, everything unnatural and natural appealing to the senses.

Voted up and getting shared, nice one!

Thank you so much for your kind comments and sharing ...things may have been difficult in some respects but simpler in others ... and definitely not so much of the rat-race.
