My Apologies (A Poem)
I’m sorry I took out the trash
After I threw away your shoes.
I’m sorry I made you coffee
And topped it with lime juice.
I’m sorry I made the bed so neatly
After filling it with nails.
I’m sorry I filled your bath
After putting holes in the pails.
I’m sorry I cleaned the house
And left oil on the stairs.
I’m sorry I sorted the laundry
While putting holes in your exercise gears.
I’m sorry I balanced your budget
(I included all my bills.)
I’m sorry I cleaned the bathroom
While switching all your pills.
I’m sorry for cleaning your laptop
(I deleted the backups too.)
I’m sorry I went shopping
Then switched the toothpaste for glue.
Aren’t you sorry
For making me sorry?
