My Brother Darkness: Co-worker With My Sister Light
The Light Still Shines in The Darkness
A black mistiness of fear hangs over me.
A chasm of darkness now penetrates my heart.
The heavy cage of piercing pangs,
Evokes sufferings from my saddened soul.
Here I am, in the abysmal lap of night’s searing clutch.
No one to hear my solemn cry.
O torturing deliverer, o friend of the abyss.
Help me to acknowledge your ‘sweet’ deliverance,
Even in my shattered dreams.
For in your woeful adversity,
Lies the freedom from my fettered chains;
The glories of yon celestial Light;
The future of my tomorrow’s golden dawn.
Embrace me, dense shadow of the Light!
You seem to sneer and dare to fear, and yet,
In retrospect, you burn my ignorance to the core.
Oh darkness-night, oh co-worker of the Light,
Pour into my being, your ever-transforming fire bright;
And turn my sorrows, into your transcending Joy-Delight.
