My Father Is
Watches over me,
Smiles at me,
Tucks my hair behind my ear,
Kisses me on the forehead,
Pulls my blankets up to my chin,
Pats my shoulder and
Tells me good night.
Strengthens and renews me when I am tired,
Listens to me,
Wipes away my tears,
Is proud of me,
Wants good for me and
Holds my hand when I am scared.
Provides for all of my needs and many of my wants,
Calms my anxieties,
Grieves when I willfully sin,
Is steadfast in His love when I push Him away,
Sent His Son to die on a Cross in exchange for me,
Reigns supreme over all,
Created the worlds and all in them and
