My Feet Are A Sleep

My Brain Volunteered For Overtime

It left my body helpless

I can't feel my toes

So I couldn't leave

Even if I wanted to

I am trapped in my body

Only to cry for help

Not out of pain

Out of love

To reach through the numbness

Then see Greatness

Incredible people

Everywhere I look

Life doesn't get better than that

No matter how hard we try

No matter what we do

It's people who make life wonderful

So many people

I can't remember all the names

What I do see is your beautiful faces

They are planted in my mind

For eternity

So when we have two choices in life

Be kind every time

You will be right one hundred percent

I love those odds

Join me in a better world

if you see my brain

Please leave a message

Come back soon

You are surely missed

Both I see your feet and your brain. Your feet, my friend are sending you a message of importance . Our feet are equally important to our head ! Pay attention to what they are saying. They want more of earned rest to be able for long time to carry along our head which has many other functions besides focusing on "sleeping" feet.

Hope all is well now. Peace with us.

Michael - Milec Time is an interesting concept. When we need more of it we have little. Then there are situations that time can't come soon enough. Appreciating every moment makes it so special. I will listen to your advice and refuel . Thank you for your support and kindness.

Your poem made me smile. We just got over those terribly cold, freeing temps and the snow is melting for now. Why did it make me smile? Well while the weather was still in the minuses my feet would get like ice and I would pull on wool socks. Then I would get busy working and writing and my feet would begin to sweat so off would come the socks. It was like that for most of January.

Gypsy Rose Lee Keep the stories coming. I wrote the story because when I write I sit for so long sometimes one foot falls asleep. Then I try to walk and I feel pins and needles. So uncomfortable and yet the my hub was so satisfying. Thank you for reading and sharing. Nicer weather next week in the 50's. Unusually warm for this time of the year.
