What is this I see ?

It looks disgusting and gross

It is a delicacy ?

Why don't you try a small piece ?

It will tease yor taste buds with a wild concoction of flavors

From the sour to sweet

Rich and bold with a kick that I can hardly describe

Each bite makes you beg for another

An aphrodisiac to the palate

After all in a world filled with millions of recipes and favorite family secrets

I have reached into your soul where no one goes

I have touched your emotions and filled your body with vitamins and nutrition to its extreme

You will not find the grease or high in fats and calories

What a wonderful high protein snack or a delicious dessert that will leave your taste buds satisfied and craving for more

Many have thought it could not be done

Something so different yet conventional too

Each bite will bring on memories that you have experienced some time in your life

Also combined with a new memory in process

Is that a gravy or a sauce ?

Drizzled so carefully to cover each peace

To give it a richness and a spice I have yet to figure out

With all my years of eating and savoring every mouthful

My mind has taken a journey that has left my body helpless

My eyes were deceived

The smells and sweet aroma have perked all my senses

The texture is soft yet crunchy when you least expect it

I am not sure if it is covered in fruit or nuts to enhance another flavor

As I look toward others who take a tempting nibble

They are as astonished as I was for sure

Some people seem to go into a temporary shock

As one thought will blend with another like a smorgeous board of ideas that can not be real

The textures are delightful

There is an ambiance that leaves its presence

There is a light airy puffiness that makes each mouthful uncertain and yet daring

For you have now pushed beyond any expectation and are filled with on going antication what comes next

As the dinner is served there is nothing left of this main entree others would call it a five course meal

Every emotion has been activated like you turned on a switch

The warming feeling of a home cooked meal and the excitement of the crunch of Kentucky Fried Chicken

The powerful pucker from lemonade

The juice of a prime rib and the gamey taste of duck

The tenderness of a vegetable cooked aldiante

The richness of a homemade spegetti sauce and as fulfilling as soup

The smells keep changing and reawaking my senses or tricking them to believe

Now not trusting what I know or what I really believe

I go on insinct and with all my experience I am still left unqualified

I try to reason and come to my senses

A flash of heightened exciement and the thrill of a matador or a bull rider

Each mouthful cautiously taken like a wild ride from a roller coaster that plunges into the unknown

In the darkness that swollows up the soul

I am left mistified and blown away

For I have come here expecting one thing and I have received so many others

So I leave with you one thought

Something shocking or repulsive ?

A love affair in the making or a memory done rare ?
