NaNoWriMo Preparation

Updated on October 26, 2015
Source

I have decided that although November is going to be a busy month for me this year I am still going to have a go at NaNoWriMo. The reason it is going to be a busy month is that I'm due to have my second child in the middle of the month and as we know babies can be very unpredictable at times.

I have decided to place my ideas here for my own reference and also for others looking for NaNoWriMo inspiration as it can be hard to come up with a story in such a short space of time.

Title

All stories need a great title however it is not always the first thing thst comes to mind when you set out to write a story. So if you cannot think of a title at first then don't worry you have till the end of November to think of one.

Plot/Story

Sometimes this is the thing that is floating around in your head trying to get out.

If you have any story ideas then the best thing to do is get them onto paper or a computer as soon as you can. The fresher they are in your mind when you write them down the better the story could be.

My Ideas

  • On a post apocalyptic earth where all adults were wiped out a girl in her late teens gets ready to leave the safety of the cave system where some of the survivors live.
  • A Spacecraft carrying children is attacked. All the children escape in the escape pods but none of the crew make it off the ship. The pods land on a planet that is suitable to sustain life and the children must learn to fend for themselves.

Characters

Again this is something you could have floating around in your head and as with story and plot ideas it is best to write down any character ideas as soon as they come into your head.
