My Own Miracle
My Own Miracle
By Tony DeLorger © 2011
Ever-present, unrelenting thoughts of you,
imbue my mind with wild jasmine,
sensorial epiphany of remembrance.
The touch of you, your essence,
a panacea for my life,
elevates me to heights unknown,
to worlds not of recollection.
You stand beside me without words,
and caress my mind with understanding.
the acceptance of everything I am and will be.
Deep crystal pools see through my pretence,
my shallow attempts to preserve, to claim.
You see only me, beneath the veil,
naked and vulnerable.
You see what I can be, what I could aspire to,
the very nature of who I am awaits your sanction,
your guiding support.
How I love you for what you are,
my soul reclaimed, the rest of me.
Your form stirs me to exhilaration,
loses me in a mist of tranquillity,
soft and gentle, like feathered flight.
How can I live without you by my side,
call life a miracle and become my destiny?
How can I find you,
my own miracle, my soul.
