My Piece of Time

Pieces and pieces, I can never seem to put this back together

Day after change, it never seems to get any better

Mark my words, one day my patience will be rewarded

But I feel I’m moving back steps, instead of moving forward

Just when I thought I knew what I wanted, it all comes crashing down

Just when the final piece is found a new puzzle is laid out before me now

Thoughts and hope are a mere thing of the past

Time escapes my grip and begins to move fast

One idea after the next to make me feel alive

Only to have these crushed as though I am to die

Just when I thought it was my time to feel a change

I’m reminded of where I failed and that I will do the same

But now as I lend You my path to guide me through

I know you have a plan and I will follow true

To the place you will let me go

Where as a person I will grow

Just when I was ready to give in a new picture became clear

You’re light will never dim and it will always be near

I enjoyed reading your poem. Ever hopeful, yet accepting life when it goes well, and when it fails. I hope you are on a road to success! This poem certainly reads as tho you are!

Very nice. A clever mixture of hope and despair. Well done.
