My Quest is But Your Quest, O Chela. A Sonnet
To Jodah, aka John Hansen, For The Love of Art and Beauty Sublime
My quest is but your quest, O Chela!
Why run to the broken Pillars of Darkness,
When the musk of All you seek,
Is within the re-awakening of your shining Spirit?
I seek Him in the Essence of the Self;
You, in the elusiveness of Shadows:
A grasping, of the impermanence of smoke,
That rides on the Wings of fading Time.
O Seeker, Come! Let us marry our longing together;
Rent asunder this veil of night;
Remain speechless in the unbroken Silence of Delight,
And face the immutable One alone.
Then our masks would be erased by currents of Light. Where,
Lost in Stupor, we’ll dine at the Banquet, of the Beloved One.
