My Voice...My Purpose
By Tony DeLorger © 2011
Blessed am I to have this voice,
to stand and imbue my world with thoughts,
to pervade the crust of ill-intent,
and with love to instill what aught.
My purpose, my marrow speaks,
the core of bone, blood and flesh,
directed by my aching heart,
my knowing of love enmeshed.
My words are clear and destined,
my single voice ensues,
to speak of power and passage right,
amid a world in blue.
Though hate and contention is a devious rort,
and the mindless follow weary,
revelation comes from accepting love,
and purpose imbibes the theory.
For without a mind of serene repose,
of acceptance and a generous heart,
peace shall never reign again,
and a new world from the start.
My voice as slight as it can be,
has power for all a world to see,
for change can take at message end,
and complete a world in love defend.
