I Love These Two
I wrote this poem 7 years ago. I could write a completely new version of this with the changes that have occurred with my now 12 year old and now 8 year old. One thing hasn't changed, though, they are still my proudest achievement.
One has the most gorgeous blue eyes you've ever seen,
One has the most gorgeous brown eyes you've ever seen.
One is tall and skinny,
One is short and chunky.
They both have long black eyelashes,
They are both so beautiful they look like angels.
One has a great sense of humor,
One can't quite talk yet.
One loves to dance,
One tries really hard to.
They both give the warmest hugs you've ever had,
They are both the loves of my life.
One is five,
One is two.
One is Ashton,
One is Preston.
They are both my pride and joy.
They're both the coolest kids you'll ever meet.
One calls me mommy,
One calls me moh-yee.
One looks like his daddy,
One looks like his mommy.
They're both my life.
They are both my world.
