Running to catch up

"Remember I've been walking with you. Your pace has speed up. I was distracted looking at all the beautiful things along the path. When I saw you last."
"There you are so far ahead. Can't you hear my cries?. Screaming again and again for you to stop. Let me catch up to you."
"Please wait. Please remember I was by your side only a moment ago. Come out from behind that turn. Beyond the bend on this awful road. This path rocky. With no solid ground to keep me stable. To support me."
"Don't you realize I can't seem to catch up? I have to move ahead so slowly. I'm moving so slow. You're so far ahead now I can't see you at all. I'm sure now you can't hear me at all, so I stop. I become silent. I'm out of breath, and my stomach feels sick. A deep pain in my side. So deep I may or could die."
I'm telling myself I have to rest. Catch my breath. Rest my feet. Cracked,torn, and bleeding my feet all along the bottoms. If only I would have known this road was so sharp I would have taken the time to put on my sandals. I was so excited to just follow you.
I must continue to move forward to catch you .I'll crawl to move myself forward. I'll catch you somewhere up ahead. Your so far beyond what I can see.
" Please I'll scream once more. Hear me . Remember me. Come back for me. Pick me up. Take me back to that beautiful place. The place I stopped before. Where the flowers are so bright and the path was filled with soft green grass. Back to place we started. Come back to me. Lie down with me. Go back with me . Help me put on my sandals."
