Poem : My parents

Father

He started this 'cos life was hard
Acquired the skill of culinary art
He imbibed the trade with his heart
Even he was told it's a quixotic task

Decades on, a master in his class
Serving cuisine like a star
From fine delicacies to humble tarts
He always scores aces on his part

Mother

She would do anything for the good of our lives
Always eager to help even if it ain't our rights
Patience aplenty she brings us to the light
Steering us like a great pilot of our flight

Can't imagine without her in our sight
We will be lost and turn pale and white
Truly a wonderful lady in her own right
So pamper and love her with all our might
