Alone and afraid.
My heart well aware of
The price I have paid.

Abandoned in haste.
My soul is so weary
Of lives laid to waste.

With hearts hard but true.
Survivors the victims,
The victims too few.

The screams are so loud!
How can they say
That we should be proud?

Dishonor the damned.
The law of the jungle;
The madness of Man.

Alone and afraid.
Our hearts well aware of
The price we have paid.

Great poetry

No more law of the jungle.

No more wars, just to sell more weapons.

We are human being.

Even the jungle feels shame towards us.

Yes, we can live together safely.

I believe this.

Admittedly not what I was hoping for given the title but amazing never the less! Why is so much excellent poetry scored so consistently low on this site?
