No Tears To Cry

Have you ever felt you don't belong

Do you wonder what went wrong

Do they see you and stare, do you pretend not to care

My love, my dear, have nothing to fear

I'll keep you safe, don't shed a tear

When the streets are filled with silence

And the nights are filled with violence

Close your eyes and see, this world's for you and me

It's okay, my love, I'll hold you close

Yeah I love you, it's true but no-one knows

When your mind's a stormy night

And you're giving up the fight

Think back to the days gone past, When we gave ourselves the chance

Because no matter what the day, I know I'll find a way

I love you is all I'm really trying to say.

Hmm, to be honest, I'm not sure what to recommend. Most of my hubs thus far are chapters from a book I wrote ten years ago. You might perhaps like my piece on modern segregation. It offers an alternative definition of the aforementioned subject as well as a poem to convey my thoughts and feelings on the matter. I grew up a halfbreed in a society where bloodline still demands loyalty and seperates its people. Hence why I wrote the piece. Here's the link of you think you might enjoy it.

"Sometimes a sentence can conquer a sonnet." I couldn't agree more. I am genuinely happy that my critique can act as a catalyst for you. You work possesses so much imagery. I look forward to reading more.

sometimes we do overdress ourselves when selling a particularly beautiful emotion or expression of passion, sometimes keeping it simple says more than a thousand lines of poetry, sometimes a sentence can conquer a sonnet. Thank you, your critique always leads me to spending a little more time reading my material than otherwise.. thank you :)

"When the streets are filled with silence

And the nights are filled with violence'

Another chill instilling depiction.

"I love you is all I'm really trying to say"

The sense of simplicity after having conveyed such passion was a sweet conclusion.
