No-one the Answer
No-one the Answer

You ask me to perform a miracle,
transform your life into all your dreams,
on me this responsibility rests,
for within your mind, I am the answer.
You quote love, the power of change in you,
your expectations beyond any realm I know,
yet it is me that must act in faith and knowledge,
to set you free from the limitations only you can see.
A Messiah I am not, nor the course of your chosen life,
I am but a muse given a divine purpose by you,
to make your life complete and whole,
regardless of what you yourself have created.
This not love, nor any divine purpose,
just a soul refusing to take responsibility for their life,
expecting a saviour to make it all right and deliver them,
from their own fashioned circumstance.
I can no more save you than turn water into wine,
yet you rely on me to create this miracle of bliss and perfection,
all the while oblivious to your own state in this play,
your own inadequate perspective of what love is.
No-one is the answer to our prayers,
it is we who take steps, come to realisations and transform,
out of choice, out of understanding and the labour of movement,
for our own growth and acknowledgement of this gift of life.
Life is not easy, no-one said it would be,
and taking responsibility for our thoughts and actions,
is the key to embracing who we are and the potential we possess,
then in finding love, to share our growth and understanding.
Life is ours; grab hold of it, take control, no-one can truly transform your life but you.
