For Lovers of the Dawn
One of my sweetest charms -
The innocence of a child’s smile.
There is no greater joy,
Than a Soul in sweet communion.
Two of life's beauty -
The luminosity of a full moon;
The warmth of the radiant sun.
There is no greater newness,
Than the ‘cry’ of a God-lover;
The sweetness of a heart without guile.
There is no greater encouragement,
Than the zeal of an exemplary life.
A moment like Love in Silence -
The stillness of the dew-drop, on a fragrant leaf;
The enthusiasm and joy of a devoted heart,
And the bliss of sweet Surrender.
In a field of sunflowers and tulips,
Nothing is of such cadence,
As the Feel of heavenly Light.
And what can be more worthy,
Than the sacrifice of the mother,
For the care of her newborn?
O God-seeker, all these virtues you embody.
You have caught our Lord,
In the expansive Mansion of your Soul,
And taken me close enough,
To drink freely of His delight.
