Of the Night

 I love the Stillness

of the night

the ticking clocks

and creeking walls

the warmth that eminates from the floors.

There is great promise in the night

of artists dreams

and poets song

of lovers hopes

of the dawn

Still, with each ray of sunlight

that comes crashing through my window

I dream of night.
