On Our Way

Ready

to

sail

on

a

ship so little

as

the

wind

pushes

it gently over every ripple

It

will

silently

flow

through

uncharted waters;

waters

that

are

unknown

but

when

it

docks

and

I am smiling
I'll know this little ship is home.

I like the idea of raising the bar on life. To keep at least one goal set and if that is accomplished to set another. We are always given advice by others on what to do with our lives but ultimately the choices are ours.

Have you ever had a wonderful idea only to have it shot down in a minute by someone telling you all the negative things about why your idea is bad? I believe those who try to stop others from at least trying are people who would never imagine the same idea and immediately think it can't come true in life. These people settle; form plans, keep routines and live by a strict code of ethics that doesn't leave room enough for creativity or dreams to come true.

I call these people anchors and they differ than writers. They need everything to be grounded so why take a ship out to explore other possibilities. By ship I mean any idea that will take you to the unknown of what your true potential could be if you only gave yourself permission to try it.

I believe all of us have a God given talent inside of us that needs to come out if not full time than part time to help us achieve our purpose in life and to fulfill that quiet calling that we know inside instantly what it is but never take the chance on trying.

I'm encouraging anyone who is reading this to take one thing that you've wanted to do and try it -

Creativity comes in many forms just not writing. It may be cooking, or decorating, or building, or even learning something new like a new language. The possibilities are endless.

So what is inside of you that needs to come out? I'd love to know.

Thank you Gypsy Rose Lee - I think we all have a creative side and should explore what it is and allow it to bring us joy.
