Writing with the graphite of insanity.......

How are we as writers ......if I may call
this affliction by some other name
Able to turn our other cheek of the
curse of revealed in this game

To remain anonymous.......or to spread our
wings wide and far
And yet .......the real scribe does this best
is this really who we are

Or more to my point Is this really
something I can contain
There are bright days in my words
and yet in some I have no vision of what remains

All I know .......As I touch the graphite to my tounge
an idea evolves from this bitter taste
I must clear my mind I must
there's just no time to waste

Voted up. I believe once we are inspired we want to share our thoughts with everyone and if the writing bug hits us there no turning back.

yep..that about says it all. We are an odd lot, us writers. Sometimes, ignorance appears so bliss - especially when one should have been asleep for hours, but instead - is tossing and turning from the evolving seed of thought that just won't leave us be!

well written!

An interesting slant on something that all we writers think about. Enjoyed it.

Lorlie my dear girl, Thank you for always being there for the "writer" within me , It has meant so much . I don't quite understand how , but I am evolving as my words and writing have become estranged from my own reasoning in a way! There is a yearning within that that remains unanswered. Lately, I have failed even to respond to these awesome comments from beautifully understanding souls. And That bothers me . In some ways I feel lost . You seem to have always understood my words and yet , can written words be blind? Can a writer be when the man within feels so lost . Hope you understand , thank you for always remaing so steadfast !....:-}

I feel the bitterness often of graphite on my tongue, yet I am pressed to write on. You my friend are a brilliant writer and I often have left comments at your scribes as you have favored me as well. Yet of late I had left a few comments on your pages and they were not accepted for some reason or other.

Then I saw that there was a tecky glitch and you were not receiving them. I thought maybe you had rejected my left words. I offer my apology to you if I offended you in any way, if so please accept my words here humbly.

You sir have stirred my soul often over the past two years I've been here and received your gifts. I pray that you will find yourself and press on as you say "steadfast" I don't want you ever to feel abandoned by your friends. Peace and blessings to you sir.

It is good poetry my friend. Poetry is a feeling, thirsty for a page. It wants for nothing more, it lives for nothing less. It is we ourselves, our hearts, our minds, our tangled emotions turning into liquid ink and spilling on the page before we can interupt it. Damn good work.

Vincent Moore my good man !, No No No , how could one like yourself with nothing but the kindest heart offend anyone !!!.I cant imagine whats going on with the comments . Although I have been very slack in my responses lately !And I too have been quite moved by the graphite that spreads across these hubs by your life experiences. Please write on my friend , write on!And thank you as always.

I loved this and vote it up and awesome. However I agree with Vincent as I read your great poetry and I comment never to see my comment again. Something technical is afoot. lol
