One small dose of nature ...........Poem

Who will keep step with me tonight or
should I keep step with you
lets walk along the dusk laden dirt road
we'll take in the perfect view

Just you and I and you can chatter on for a
while if you chose
I may simply walk along in silence
for silence has nothing to lose

We can go down by the river and see the
moon shimmer across the open water
or up along the ridgeline and listen
for the coyotes it really doesn't matter

I will take your hand if you get the
least bit nervous
or dry away your tears if the talk we have
should get the least bit serious

We can laugh or giggle in the star light
I'm sure Orion will never tell
and even put our arms around each other share
something closer as well

Who'll walk with me in the darkness who'll take my
hand my heart or my soul
As strangers become friends and become more
that's simply natures role

The photo above is a sunrise walk on the outer banks of North Carolina
This poem is dedicated to my writer friends because
what is a writer without imagination
and nature and friends together
Thank you for "hearing" my writing !

I hear it and I love how you take us on a journey, a dirt road or by the sea, you bare it all with beautiful poetry!

Nice! Enjoyed this. I like the innocence, but with it also the hopeful expectation of more.

Enjoyed the walk in the gloaming with you. We do walk together with our writing, even if ever so briefly, and we all gain from the encounter. Thank you.
