Our Love in Summer

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

The fragrance of summer’s approach,

does fill my heart with abandon,

barefoot and naked under sun,

with gentle breeze to cool my passion,

to quell my freedom thirst.

The sea calls to me,

sand between my toes,

the salt spray against my face,

and the murmur of nature’s swell,

the relentless movement of life.

With you I stand on weathered rocks,

imbued with life’s rich tapestry,

and stirring my soul to listen,

to the whisper of the sea,

its secrets only a breath away.

Hand in hand, hearts vital,

we greet the season with joy,

our playground of life

pervaded by loving thoughts

and two souls of one breath.

Your eyes, my reflection,

your skin my scent,

my heart in your hands,

two souls under a Summer sun,

free.

This is truly lovely. And these words are especially so;

"Your eyes, my reflection,

your skin my scent,

my heart in your hands,

two souls under a Summer sun,

free"
