Life Under Construction
Dawn of a New Day
Restoration - God's Specialty
I wrote this poem during a specific healing time. Recognizing that I made some choices that were resulting in conflict and chaos rather than the peace I had known when living with God in the forefront of my life, I opted to turn back and let go. My surrender resulted in restoration of joy and soon afterward, increased ministry to hurting people.
The time we are in a place of rebellion is never wasted by God in the schematic of our journey. Like a tapestry, He faithfully gathers up the loose threads and as our Master Weaver, blends them in with what He originally had planned when He created us to make the side that is on display more brilliant than we could imagine possible. For that I am forever grateful.
When we become willing to surrender, it is amazing how complete restoration comes. Even when the consequences of our self will are painful reminders, in time, God's grace erases the sting. He removes our sin as far as the east is from the west! That is a long, long way. And then He casts it into the depth of the sea, and remembers them no more! We are the ones who keep trying to pull them back into our present experience. Take my advice, and leave them there! They don't have any relevance except as a reference point for where God has taken you from.
Harsh words spoken.
And still yet.
God is moving;
Doing new things;
Now I see
Yes I will Lord;
Reconstruction? Under way
My life is Yours now, Every day.
