Out of My Body

It is lucky that as people, we don't always know what we want. Except when we do.

Dedicated to Lorena

Tell me about it
Always another one
And another one comes
Then I stop to inhale
Rushing but never trusting
But still some days
I have a friend

All I ever wanted
Was another beaded curtain
Against the soundtrack playing
From my bedroom on the boom box
I know I am the fox
And sometimes more
But every so often
I can take a day

And be a friend

All you want
You can have me
Just be honest with it
You want my body now
And I am more than happy to give
Only because you wanted it
I blow a kiss
My blushing
But my lips whisper
As I let it slide right in
But come Sunday
I am alone again
Will you be my friend

I am able, I am willing
In every single way
Anytime, anything
If you want we can party
If you want me too badly
Just tell me truthfully
I do almost anything
Others just take me
You have only needs
But you are
My friend

Shall we begin
Where it ends

Or shall we
Do it
Again

You have depicted a quite interesting relationship in verse...a bit of a dance between two people with separate lives yet drawn back to each other for solace or whatever the need yet only friends. One of your best,Blake! WB

Dear Blake-just read your sad hub about this wonderful women that this poem inspired. This relationship sounded very rare, complex and meant to be. She is so beautiful Blake and I know she will always be watching over you.

Blake, thanks for the heads up. After reading the hub eulogy, I understand the bead reference in this poem which is so poignant. In fact, it sums up your longing in a most poetic way. The vulnerability is palpable. Blake, I am so very sorry for your deep deep loss.

Thanx MB. I love that photo of Lorena, eating an apple.

THanx MT. Your words are very appreciated.

Thanx STRU You did pick up on the beaded curtain reference, it was an actual curtain that she made. A big one too.
