Paradise Illusion
Arriving finally,
shrouded
of infinity, born
Speaking into the air,
eternal
purest in form
Reclaiming a throne
unsheathing a sword
The hourglass breaks
in the eyes of a coward
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
The stars bearing witness to acts in the night
deeds in the darkness, observed by the sky
I tried to avoid them, those millions of eyes
I tried to escape them, believe me I tried
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
What kind of design
dictates such suffering?
Under a knowing sky,
we attempt understanding
The universe plays music
for a supernova dance,
paying tribute to a child
never given a chance
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
First breath laced with fire
surrounded by pain
Struggle through life
every moment a fight
escaping nightmares
seeking dreams
Paradise sighted
just beyond clouds
to what ends
by what means
will we achieve
our internal illusions
of Heavenly things
awaken from sleep
sleep to awake
into illusions again
made real by hope
given life, Paradise
