The callous hand of retribution,
strikes without qualm, without warning,
and we the wrong doers cringe in fear of recompense,
the return to balance, restoring what we betrayed.
There is no escape, no free pass,
for all our wrongs, upsetting the balance,
there is a natural return to it,
and in that the consequence for us personally, rarely painless.
No trial and jury, no judgement demand,
just the process in which life exists,
and we as part of it, must abide,
within the ebb and flow of being.
How this balance is found is not understood,
at least not as we see crime and penalty, rather a restoration,
whatever it takes to achieve balance,
a small wrong creating a huge restoration, or a major wrong with a minor ramification.
Balance cannot be seen at one time from our point of view,
as it is not judged but brought to equilibrium by change,
which may or may not appear to be justified,
rather, balance is the result of nature, not determined but simply a result.
In understanding the cause and effect of life,
one can only follow the flow of nature, working within its bounds,
and in that know what is the rightful decision, the right path,
within every moment of life, considering all aspects and how they affect others.
The framework exists for us to learn this law,
and if given attention, the process becomes more evident,
and life's decisions less selfish and broader in perspective,
life becoming far less harsh and more predictable.
There is an easier way, and awareness begins the journey.
The world is complex, yet the mechanics of the natural world is straight forward, should you choose to be open to it.
