Peachtree Gal (poem)

Lailak Poem

Just finished reading on

A Lailak poem

The girl from Atlanta

Near the Georgia Dome

The poem was very spiffy

'Bout the teenage years

Talkin' 'bout her feelings

And some teenage fears

The gal's got talent

That's an obvious fact

Spittin' out knowledge

That you cannot retract

With inborn talent

Using paper and pen

She tells life stories

With a poetic spin

So if you have a moment

Take a stop by her page

Her poems are really poppin'

Soon to be all the rage

……….a poem for Lailak ( not to be confused with the flower Lilac you dig?)

Thank you. I am humbled. Never been called amazing before. I just do what I do. I kind of lost the rhythm in the third stanza but I'll clean that up when I have time. I've been writing since I was your age so I've had lots of practice. That along with inborn talent like yourself which is how I recognized your ability. A lesson in this is: inspiration for a writer may come at any time and at any place and they must be ready to "go with the flow" because if they don't they may lose the inspiring thought and it may never come back. Inspiration can come from anywhere and a writer must recognize it when it comes.

Absolutely! Very true :) I'm always alert to when my inspirational moments come so I can write about them.
