Pieces of Paper poem

Pieces of Paper a poem

Pieces of Paper poem

Pieces Of Paper

Life is not always fair

It is like pieces of paper blown in the wind

Some pieces to be found on the earth

Some gone forever

Darkness comforts some as me, and

Others find its blackness frightening.

I myself like the feeling of not knowing

Holding my hand out to you in the night.

Nights become quiet and sleep is not to be found

Only this darkness of unsettled love with no hand

I look into it bravely and know I will see

that wonderful face of the man by the sea.

Time is not counted like these papers that blow

Only the memories I behold of my love

Taking a step and not knowing where my foot may go

I hold his love with me forever to know.
