The Pewter of the Sea........

What has the sea to offer me this morning
in misty dawn delivering tides
A bow of a vessel peals away the sea
in layers revealing what she hides

Like an open wound the wake lies
bleeding of white much to yearn
And then blends once again into grey
what lesson do I to learn

Does life hold a promise for such a man......
entwined in the eches of turning sea
I do love the haunting sound of her
voice rolling in at me

And once the day has flourished
a new world begins to blossom
I am again reminded by the
the sea's caress chose is awesome

I am out of I out
of time .......what release is there in dreams
What comes of a man as he realizes
it isn't as it seems

Stepping off the edge of the rocky cliff
I drop verticaly into her arms
And let the sea engulf me
for the thought no longer harms

Another beautiful write from that pen of your's my friend. How I wish I had known you when I was at school. A little fatty I was at first, but maybe I could of bribed you to write me a poem or too, and then I could of put two fingers up to the good looking girls. Very sweet and lovely.

Thank you Blue Star, I was way too shy in school to even say hello to the girls, sorry! Yes, but I would have written one for you.

The ocean has a powerful pull, it mesmerises and it lures, but "Wow", I wasn't prepared for the last stanza.

Another one of your awesome poems with a twist. Love it!!!

Awesome and up from me.

I love sea too. A mysterious place, deep and beautiful. Stupid me, after 10 days on sick bed, I came out of it right to the beach and soaked myself inside the water for 3 hours in the middle of very hot day. Gave me 4 days of headache. Quoting Carolina Muscle, "Stupid is what stupid does!" LOL

Beautiful, dad. That must be wonderful place.
