Poem: A Silent Night
Solitary time and a silent night
The ticking of clock reminding me to write
The wandering of thoughts sometimes Delight
I rise and observe a pleasant sight.
I abruptly hear soft-soothing sound of winds
Gazing through the window seeing wind flowing in rings
Birds moving to their nest by flapping their wings
I observe the nature keenly as it sings.
Drizzling gently, the fine drops of water sprinkle
Seeing the beauty, my eyes slightly twinkle
Vivacious sound of droplets smoothly jingle
Opulence of Almighty blissfully mingles.
Coffee in my hand and novels on the table
The burning of lamp and thoughts unstable
I think to write, but will I be able?
Rich, vivid thoughts are inexplicable.
The night beckons; pillows and bed invite
Thoughts are many, but time is slight
I close my eyes or perhaps I might
I guess it’s time to bid good night.
