Poem: Music follows me wherever I go...

An Outdoor Waltz

Waltz are always in big halls, dancers dressed up to the nines. There is an atmosphere of primness and proper manners. While i love the cascade of the music, the rhythm and the rise and fall of the dance, I imagined what it would be to waltz outside, on a meadow, in the summer rain, me in jeans & shirt and you in a summer dress.

No one else watching...

Just you and me... blue skies, some clouds, maybe summer rain, wind rustling the trees, birds hiding in the branches, wet feathers flapping, clouds watching...

Waltzing barefoot in the meadow...

Rise and fall, the cadence of waltz music, maybe a violin, maybe the tinkling of a piano...

Music follows Me

Leaves whisper messages caressed by breeze

Flowers sigh as they are kissed by the bees

Birdsongs and sweet twitters sing from the trees

Wonders surround me may they never cease

Cirrus clouds smile at me swimming in air

Mornings light melts over my maiden fair

Sunshine feels warmer now knowing you care

It feels good just laying my feelings bare

Melodies that we make by the moonglow

Makes my heart beat first faster then slow

The love you have shown, for me to know

Music follows me wherever I go

Music follows me wherever I go

Words sing and dance like the raindrops on roofs

Clip-clapping on cobbles like horses hooves

The touch of your hand alone constantly proves

Love is the force that makes all the moves

Wind nudges ripples on surface of ponds

Lilies don’t float away showing the bonds

Dewdrops that slide down the emerald fronds

Tasting like nectar as my morning dawns

Melodies that we make by the moonglow

Makes my heart beat first faster then slow

The love you have shown, for me to know

Music follows me wherever I go

Music follows me wherever I go

My world is now full of colour and light

I feel that I just have regained my sight

Wish I could join those song birds in flight

Show the world you are my rescuing knight

Dance with me darling come closer to me

Me in your eyes, I do want to see

Unlock my door, as you hold my key

Joy in me wants to come out and run free

Melodies that we make by the moonglow

Makes my heart beat first faster then slow

The love you have shown, for me to know

Music follows me wherever I go

Music follows me wherever I go

Your breath on my cheeks does melody sings

Your touch is the flutter of Angels wings

You makes me feel like the king of the kings

You are my treasure trove adventure brings

Stay with me now in love’s close warm embrace

The murals in my heart walls are all of your face

Come lean and listen to what my heart beat says

Lying here can make us lose nights and days

Melodies that we make by the moonglow

Makes my heart beat first faster then slow

The love you have shown, for me to know

Music follows me wherever I go

Music follows me wherever I go

I so wanted to choose the lines I love the most, but, guess what. I love each and every one...it is exhilarating excellence from first word to last. You capture the rapture of love like a man in love. This piece is sublime. It takes the reader on that dance in the rain imagining hearing the words

"Dance with me darling come closer to me

Me in your eyes, I do want to see"

Nothing could come close to that...sigh

As I shake myself out of my imagination now to tell you, Docmo, that you have unparalleled talent and a true understanding of the emotions in love. You expressed them perfectly here. Lovely...

Beautiful poem, pictures and song. What could be more romantic than dancing in the rain with the one you love? Thumbs UP, docmo, this one is a stunner.

@Amy - beautiful comment, thank you very much for them. I am a man in perpetual love - of love itself and of words, poetry and writing that are used to express it in so many ways. There's too much cynicism in the world and not enough love!

@ Martie- thank you for your visit and comments Martie, I agree about dancing in the rain!

Thank you, Docmo, for the beautiful poetry and graphics.

When you are young, dancing in the rain is fun and exciting,

When you are older, it becomes a means of inviting . . . arthritis, phlebitis, gastritis. etc.

Thanks drbj, it perhaps depends on who we dance with, how warm the embrace is and how heavy the rainfall and not just the age ;-)

...well thank you for your glowing review and so very nice to meet the most romantic gentleman at Hubland.

Music follows me everywhere I go ....but I have to admit I never 'read' poetic music this stirring and lovely - perhaps also because you really know how to put together a world class hub which no doubt attracts all of these wonderful ladies!

In my closing statement (lol) I read that you love words - well my friend that's obvious - words also love you and they are dying to jump up and down in your presence vying for your esteemed attention!

Docmo, you are a true romantic and thats's what I love about you! Enjoyed the poetry very much and the video that followed was the icing on the cake!

As if written for me because music does follow me wherever I go, my last poem spoke of that and if I don't forget it I will write about it but usually by nightfall it has gone away. This was very beautiful. I hope you visited my poem site where I write of more than love..well a little more. Your top picture reminds me of the Elizabeth Edwards poem I wrote for the song she loved and the woman standing in the song as above could have been her. I still hurt for her.

@ Fossillady, I've been found out! Glad you enjoyed the poem and the video. When I have connoisseurs like you, I can't stop writing.

@Polly, it's great to hear from you and that music follows you wherever you go. I know the feeling, I also have so many snippets of poetry that have vanished when I've been busy. It is sometimes like trying to sculpt fog! I will pop around to your poem site..looking forward to it.

"Dance Me to the End of Love" was her song.

Thank you so much, that was the very song and at first I thought that guy sounded weird but the more I listened it just got me. It was sort of a tribute to her it was so awful what her dying days were it is hard to forget. Again, thanks!

Beautiful poem, Docmo, filled with joy that reverberates throughout. As for the question at the end of the hub, YES-danced in the rain, around the house, down the street, in the car, (hard to do, but possible, LOL), on the dance floor, etc etc. I used to love to dance with my husband and he was a wonderful dancer.

Today I had the unexpected pleasure to view a ballroom dancing competition that I, quite accidently, stumbled upon while searching the NC state fair grounds for a different exhibit. It was heavenly.

Thanks for the beautiful poetry this evening. :)

Docmo - Like a heart-stopping, magnificent symphony, you have "conducted" each word as an instrument protecting its own emotion and sound. The accompanying images illustrate the truthfullness of the silent word. Rated up for what is now one of my favorite poems.

@Denise,chspublish, Nikki, Fay and vocalcoach- Thank you all for your kind comments. I love dancing. The feeling of dancing around with someone we love is beautiful. My brother works as a choreographer and we all are fond of dancing, letting the music run through us and enjoying its beat. I wanted to write something that has a gentle Waltz like cadence and hoped people could hear the music in it. Thanks for confirming this.

The entertainment, emotions and the 'symphony' ( thank you very much vocalcoach!) descriptions make my heart hum with pleasure. what more does a songwriter want but the chance to share.

Docmo: I am a new follower who dances in the rain with your mixture of photos, videos and poetry. It is how i choose to create my Hubs as well. Music may follow you wherever you go but there is no doubt that you lure it to you with the joy of your words.

I've danced in the rain many times. It's amazing! I've also performed a few rain dances when Orlando was going through a drought and they worked. A couple of times. :)

That explains the intensity of rain whenever I've experienced it in Orlando - its all down to your rain dance. Thank you for your visit, Linda.

How romantic and so tender....you created something for the eyes to read, and all the known senses to respond to with magic you weave from perfectly chosen words. One can literally 'feel the love' . I am hardly an ingenue, but nothing pleases me more than walking in a lovely long slow drizzle, or giggling like a child when caught in a downpour! You seem to have such an understanding of how we readers will respond to your words. Magic! voted up, awesome and beautiful!!!

Mohan,

Thanks for sharing this as I missed it when first published...

We need more romantics in this world and you are setting the bar with poetry such as this... what lovely images your words conjure...

The song is sweet but sad to me...

Voted UP & ABI. Hugs, Maria

Maria, thank you for your comments. I am pleased you consider me a romantic! I always view poetry as a window to an event or an emotion and want to share that with the reader. I am pleased when it works well. Why the sadness ...Much love, hugs and thanks dear Mar.

Mohan (Docmo),

You paint such stunningly beautiful images...your emotions, your photographs and montages, your words. You are incredibly talented, polymath.

I'm sharing this article with a poetry group I recently joined.

Clip-clapping on cobbles like horses hooves." Good imagery.

I don't know how I missed this but I love it. Your words always sing and dance and what is more beautiful than 'music following wherever' you go! Dancing, with the one you love, in the rain is just breathtaking. Simply beautiful Mohan. Thank you for bringing this back for us to enjoy.

Voted up, awesome, and interesting.

Beautiful words and images Docmo... that would incite beautiful images even without the great ones you've added.

You are definitely a romance lovers poet!!!
