A Poem for Sisters
A poem for Sisters.
Stop. Wait. What are you doing?
Has it come to this? You can’t be serious.
Wow, a sucker punch to all that I thought we had.
A momentary weakness.
Your choices are scaring me, hurting me.
Can’t you see it?
No. Right now you’re blinded by your own needs, and your wants.
Am I breathing?
Am I loosing you?
Okay, I’ll let go now.
No longer trying to salvage what I cannot control.
You go left, I’ll go right.
In this moment, our paths are different.
Someday, we’ll meet again with brighter days ahead.
We are sisters, sisters for life.
