Poem: The Path of Love. Dedicated to a Poet, Ashish Dadgaa

There is a sweet solace and serenity

In the nature’s grandeur,

Where the existence of the Universal Soul

Resounds in the Divine’s abode…

The glorious morn permeates,

Embracing the whiff of a fresh air,

As the tranquil music of the Sun accompanies

The chirping of nightingales,

Outsoaring the elegance of a Sufi dance

And the classical melodies of sitar…

My Heart, too, gently sways and sings

A lofty song of every bystander,

Treading on the path of Love and its splendour;

Like a saffron dawn settles down the horizon,

Like a joyous peacock prances in the Golden showers,

Like a luscious wind swirls on terra-firma,

Like a flame that flickers as it glistens…

Yes, I remember… I… I once built a castle of dreams,

And within a few moments of merriment and cheer,

The gushing wave carried it away,

Stroking my feet while kissing with silent tears…

Perhaps Shakespeare had said it right –

‘There’s many a slip between the cup and the lip.’

Now here I sit at the yonder shore,

Pondering speechlessly on “What, Why and How?”

Well, what can I say, my Friend?

The matters of the Heart, the Heart alone knows.

Meanwhile, the Lord of Rain showered His benevolence,

Gracing the beauty with His Darshan over my tiara,

Adorned with pearls, zephyrs and sapphires…

O' Indra! Let me remain intoxicated in Your charm.

“Don’t be afraid when the Heart is Pure,” He said.

I then folded my hands like a prayer,

Smiled and headed to the pious stairs;

The stairs of Peace, the path of Love.

Amazingly beautiful poetic words, and a true joy to read My Dear. Lovely images too.

Ah, Surabhi! My comment has disappeared. I hate this!. So many hours later and my inspiration would be different. Let me try to remember...

Your poem is a masterpiece! Exquisite. .. a brilliant, lofty and sublime beauty, worthy of the Gods and the ONE addressed to. A real charmer for Ashish here, and I'm so happy for him.

The devotional video is awesome! I used to play this kind of music often in NY, and we as disciples, would sit for long hours with the Mahabharata; the Ramayana and so forth, enjoying our coffee breaks from time to time. This loved devotional I used to sing at the Ramakrishna Vedanta Centre in Bourne End, UK.

I love the pictures too, and the woman is alluringly exotic, or just say she blends well with Mother nature. I wonder who she reminds me of?

Much Love, my Sweet Surabhi. Much ...

Surabhi, this is beautiful, and touching and it reminds me of the castles in the air, and how a dream can evaporate in the blink of an eye.

Blessings

Shy

Manatita, my Sweet.

Ah, I am sorry. You are the second person telling me. I think something is wrong with HubPages. Just this morning the ‘Jai Jagdish’ video was deleted by them, but I have included it again.

I thank you my Acharaya for gracing this hub with your elegant thoughts and presence. I bow to your loftiness with one thousand fragrant candles (smiles). Thank you for sharing your experience here about the Ramakrishna Vedanta Centre. You have a pious Soul. Stay blessed. Love you, my sweet melody.

Heyyyyyy Surabhi My dear,

I am so glad that you dedicated a poem to me. Each and every word nicely weaved. I loved the way you have framed each stanza. Your imagination and your feeling are easily noticeable in this masterpiece.

This stanza I read nearly 20 times.....It's simply amazing.

Yes, I remember… I… I once built a castle of dreams,

And within a few moments of merriment and cheer,

The gushing wave carried it away,

Stroking my feet while kissing with silent tears…

Thank you so much for dedicating this lovely poem :)

May God Bless you and Shower blessing on you, my dear friend :)

Good Luck.

Hi Ashish,

So glad that you like it, my Dear Friend. I thank you for your visit. You have graced this poem further with your thoughtful feedback (smile). So sweet of you to say so.

God bless you as well. Have a wonderful week ahead! Note: the poem is actually a loving dedication to the Beloved-Supreme; the Brahman. What an honour to remember Indra Devta; the Lord of Rain. Om Shanti.
