Poems From My Youth - A Grey day

A Grey Day

The weatherman predicted a grey day.

A Grey Day

dull as a sword overly used

lazy as a mind unused

A Grey Day

uninspiring as a child without a dream

wasteful as a pretty smile never seen

A Grey Day

tiring as a speech of no concern

unwanted as love unreturned

A Grey Day

unyielding as a song without inspiration

unfeeling as a picture without passion

A Grey Day

silent as a prayer unspoken

frightening as a world without hope

Look – The sun is coming out.

Lovely. We should always keep looking for the sun, even if we are surrounded by the gray.
