Haiku II

The rose buds blooming

Our lust wildly consuming

Not a thorn in sight

Winter wind chills me

My emotions still for now

Warm my heart again

Misunderstood words

Spark moments of searing doubt

A love mistaken

I melt from your stare

Your touch ignites my passion

Hot as summer sun

His cries in the night

Reaching a pelting frenzy

Swept by destruction

The poets last words

Of true love and desire

Sadly never found

Her dark eyes

Led me up the stormy path

I have lost control

The leaves of autumn

So gently kissing the ground

Your lips I have found

The door gently closes

The reality so loud

Leaving me broken

Loved this haikus. It's the kind of poetry I like best. To write and to read it.

Europe Walker,

My favorite haiku was:

"The leaves of autumn

So gently kissing the ground

Your lips I have found"

because it reminds me of nature loving nature. It's a self-love that we all can learn from. It's hard to distinguish between self-love and egotism, but here's the key difference. To self-actualize, we must discern God within us, the part of our soul that's pure, and how everyone, equally, share divine purpose. Narcissism is the delusion that one is superior to all others. The difference is clear: mutual, homogenous chaos or an imposed hierarchy.

I, for one, chose to see the beauty of chaos. At the end of the day, it isn't so disordered after all. But how the puzzles fit together won't be revealed until after we're dead.

That's my opinion anyway.... I hope I didn't go too off track.
