Poetry Is Like Painting With Words.

Poetry...like painting with words.

Poetry is like
painting with words
first you scratch out
your thoughts
with a pencil
creating designs
from the rhymes
in your mind
then using your
heart as a stencil
Next rough out some lines
that are quite ordinary
true inspiration's
not taught in school
"Roget's" helps you to
brush up your vocabulary
a thesaurus
is a poet's first tool
Find some fresh paper
that looks
hungry for words
just a handful of
stanzas will feed it
then place it with love
in the volumes you've written
hoping someday the public
will read it!
