Poetry: She Was Always Enough...
She used to cry at night,
couldn't wait for the sun rise.
Her heart ravaged by his hate,
she watched her hopes and dreams dissipate.
She walks today, head held proud
for now she's not afraid
to say his name out loud.
Bruises have faded into memory.
New thoughts and dreams fill her life with understanding.
The strong woman who stands there
now free from hate
will keep his memory locked away
for the rest of her days.
She no longer needs his false love
for she finally see's
she was always enough.
A new life
now she was free.
