Poetry as a passion

Poetry passion

I love to read but writing is my passion. It's the creation of something beautiful and powerful from simple words. I wrote some of theseĀ under my maiden name so the copyright will be Stephanie Diaz/Domena. I welcome you to share your thoughts.

Don't look at me anymore,

your eyes are fierce and shadowed, on the hunt.

Mine are like mirrors, you see the reflection of the pain in my soul

Hear my heart pounding like a drum.

It is love, it is war.

I suffer from the scars you leave, each one deeper than the last.

I am who you want me to be. Is it my love for you that makes me surrender?

what am I to do?

With every battle I lost, I lose more and more of me.

You've left me wounded, cut, and bleeding, creating a widespread panic throughout my being.

I am in love, I am at war.

"Now the darkness of the night is a reminder of my loneliness" - a lovely image. Thanks for sharing your passion!

So true the saying that there is a fine line between love/hate - but I like your words better "I am at war", relationships never naturally fall in to place. We choose our ideal and if they lack what we really need we suffer because by then, we are hooked. I've been in this place, a few times and can relate to your pain. Great Hub, great poem! Wonderful imagery makes this poem stand out.
