Poetry that's Speaks to the soul

Freedom

                    Lost Songs of Freedom

Let Freedom ring we all sing;

From the mountain high, to the valley low;

God told Pharaoh, Let my people go.

Let freedom ring we all sing;

From the backwoods of Georgia;

To the city streets; Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves.

Let freedom ring we all sing;

From Alabama to Mississippi;

Martin Luther King Jr. shared his dream.

Let freedom ring we all sing;

Still many are held captive,

Lost in fear without hope only disbelief.

Let freedom ring we all sing,

While hate and violence drag innocent men

behind trucks, with heavy metal chains.

Let freedom ring we all sing

Unable to stop a junkie from

shooting dope in their veins.

Let freedom ring we all sing,

When the black man vote in some states

Still doesn’t mean a thing.

Let freedom ring we all sing,

Free at last free at last

Just lyrics in a song, we all sing.
