Prism Rain

Prism Rain

by Laura Summerville Reed

Dancing in the parti-colored sunlight

A Holy Dust Mite

momentarily suspended in the rays

Glory pouring down

from the windows of Heaven

Sanctuary

Sanctity

Sanctioned

Now I’m kicking out

the stained glass panes

Soaking up the sunshine

flooding in

The Devil Orb

is dancing off my skin

And Heaven falls

down like prism rain

Ah yes...the warmth of liquid sunshine without the filters of life's many shades...one needs to see it with their own eyes to then appreciate the beauty that it does secrete in it transit through prismed glass. Great stuff, Laura! Happy New Year! WB

I can feel the the ray of dusty sun shine piecing the rose colored stain glass window unto my face. Awesome, thank you for sharing.

Pachuca, it's my pleasure. Thank you for reading and for the leaving such kind encouragements to my writing.

Wayne Brown, you do say the prettiest things! Thank you, kind sir. ;D

Augustine, per our conversation, you now have the arduous task of carrying the esoteric message of my poetry to the world upon my posthumous fame, lol. Thank you, my dear friend.

AP, it is such a wonderful thing to know that you read my poetry, thank you and thank you, again!

Beautiful Laura,

I've always thought of you more as a water sprite than a dust mite, but the dancing is the thing!

Ahh, dear Christopher, whether I'm a dust mite or water sprite, with such wonderful compliments to my writing from you I'll never have a reason to stop dancing. ~ Laura

I suspect neither you nor heaven likes a glass prison--even if it's only a prism. Nice Laura. =:)

I can only speak for myself, and would never presume to know the desires of heaven, but you are correct, dear Winsome, unless I'm the keeper of the key to the gilded door I'm just locked in a room.

....well no one can put words together quite like you and redefine how great the genre of poetry can really be - and yes that is still the greatest smile on this side of seeing 'my sun' rise in the morninig in the east sky over my lake of Erie ..... how have you been? Please stay well and keep thinking those good thoughts!

Oh, epigramman, how I over looked your lovely comment for so many months, I'll never know. My apologies for not responding sooner. However, it was a bit like looking on the top shelf in mid-summer and finding a gift still wrapped from Christmas! Thank you so very much for your kind words of praise. ~ Laura
