Professing the Good (a Haiku by Whonunuwho)

good in life
good in life
after life's storms
after life's storms
fresh air, and life breathes
fresh air, and life breathes

Accentuating,

regarding prerogative,

the good in all life,

heralding the positive.

Mankind trods onward,

weathering the best and worst,

all that this life gives,

yet, placing the best, as first.

Disregarding bad,

although a part of it all,

dealing with it, too,

answering spiritual call.

Goodness overcomes,

all that life has to offer,

each spirit, within,

held in trust in our coffer.

Our soaring spirits will overcome.
Our soaring spirits will overcome.

Although the whole poem is amazing, I found the second last stanza to be the most powerful one!

This was great!

"Goodness overcomes,

all that life has to offer,"

Such positivism and optimism captured by your simple yet powerful words. I agree with you that no matter how dark the cloud the sun will find a way to shine through.

Thanks for sharing.

I love the rhythm and the optimism of this poem. It mentions hard realities but ends with hope at each paragraph. I would like to make a poster of it and hang it on my wall. Thanks, whonu.

We must take responsibility as well as action, then the pieces will come together. Nicely done.

Yes, good will always overcome evil, and at times, evil is used to bring about good, and in the final analysis. Thanks for sharing and commenting. whonu
